C.S.T. means ''Capillary Succion Time''.
The principle is founded on a mud sample which is submitted to a filtering force given by the capillary action of a absorbent paper filter.
The more the C.S.T. is low better is the mud filtering.
This test very fast allows to compare the efficiency of a mineral or a thermic conditioning.
